Frequently asked questions
Which ports do you ship to for Poland, Czechia and Romania?
Three gateways cover most orders. Gdańsk in Poland is the Baltic gateway for Warsaw and the north of the country, reached on the North Europe string or with transshipment. Bremerhaven and Hamburg in Germany serve Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary by rail, 3-6 days inland. Constanța in Romania is the Black Sea gateway for Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, with a short haul to Bucharest. The northern Adriatic ports Koper and Rijeka are an alternative for Croatia, Slovenia and freight bound for Austria. We quote FOB Shenzhen or Ningbo and your forwarder books the container: we do not book freight ourselves and we take no freight commission.
How long does sea freight from Guangdong to Gdańsk or Constanța take?
Industry-typical transit on the Asia to North Europe route is 32-36 days from FOB Shenzhen or Ningbo to Gdańsk, and 35-40 days to Constanța via the Suez Canal. EU import clearance with ICS2 advance data normally adds 3-7 days plus inland haulage, so plan roughly 40-50 days door-to-door for Warsaw or Prague and 45-55 days for Bucharest. Samples and small urgent quantities travel by DHL or UPS in 5-7 days.
How do you ship to landlocked Hungary, Slovakia and Serbia?
By sea to a North Sea or Adriatic gateway, then rail or truck inland, because there is no direct water access. Bremerhaven or Hamburg to Budapest is typically 4-6 days by rail, to Bratislava 3-5 days, and to Belgrade via Constanța or via Rijeka about 5-8 days by road. Combined with the ocean leg, plan 42-52 days door-to-door for Budapest. Because the last leg runs inland, we prefer to quote FOB or CIF through your forwarder so the door-to-door routing stays in one set of hands.
Who is the importer of record for CEE orders, and who pays duty and import VAT?
The buyer does, or the EU importer the buyer appoints with a valid EORI number. One EORI covers deliveries to every member state, so consignees in Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia are handled under a single import declaration. That importer pays customs duty, import VAT at the standard rate of the destination member state, which runs at roughly 19-27% across this region, plus any excise or handling fees. Kexin is never the importer of record and cannot arrange DDP. We can ship DAP through your forwarder, who handles the paperwork while you keep the importer role and pay duty and import charges.
Do you have a European warehouse, and what are the MOQ and production lead time?
No European warehouse — Kexin manufactures only in Guangdong and ships directly from there, so every CEE order follows the normal production route. MOQ is 500 pieces per Pantone colour, samples take 7-10 days by DHL or UPS, and production runs 30-40 days after artwork approval for 1,000 pieces. Custom foam inlays, printed logos and colour-matched bodies are all included at that stage; only new tooling is quoted separately. If you need a local buffer, that is part of your own stock planning rather than something we hold on your behalf.
